How did you first become interested in making natural skincare products?

I first got interested when I realized it could be a source making an income for me and those around me, I planned to have a skincare line not knowing it would be a natural skincare line, which is closer to my heart because I naturally like natural products. Before finding out about it I had tried my handmade natural skincare solutions at home (homemade).

What was the most challenging part of learning how to make natural s, and how did you overcome it?


The most challenging part was I needed to practice and formulate my recipes, overcoming the challenge I had to get used to practicing because it is the only way to achieve better results.

How did you decide to start your own business, and what were some of the challenges you faced in the beginning?

I decided to start my business after I had been trained on how to handcraft my soaps. The challenge is I have growing children in my home and I only handcraft soap when they are not there to avoid accidents.

How did you develop your product line, and what inspired your choice of ingredients?

I started by training on how to handcraft natural soap, that's how I started making soap as my first product line, the next products were lotions, lip balm and heel balms.The choice of ingredients I use are influenced by their properties especially because I keep my products natural and their prices should be reasonable.


How do you market your business, and what has been your most effective marketing strategy so far?

I market by word of mouth, selling and advertising at markets, and through whatApp and now starting on Facebook


What advice do you have for someone who is just starting a business in the skincare industry?

My advice would be research and network with those who are doing it already, like Natural Skin care Tribe on Facebook. Then you can be guided to where you can get training.

What has been the most rewarding aspect of starting your own business?

The most rewarding aspect of starting my business, is knowing that I am using a skincare line that I have made, and I know that others who use them are using great products.

How do you balance running a business with other aspects of your life, such as school or family obligations?

I have not yet struck a proper balance, it is a struggle at the moment.

What are your plans for the future of your business?

My plans for my business is to be able to supply the entire country, in the process empower young people and women with job and business creation.

What advice would you give to someone who is considering learning how to make natural soap, skincare products, body scrubs as a hobby or a potential business venture?

I would advice anyone who is interested to the same business to come forth and ask how. I will help them.
